Finally Letting Go of the Newborn Clothes (Sort Of) - The February Fox
On Friday my lovable little boy decided he was ready to stand without help. While my thought process volleyed somewhere between, “Did I baby proof this room correctly?” and “YAY!” it took a few moments after for something else to settle in: Fox is growing up so quickly right before my very eyes. At 10 months old he’s went from the little newborn we lovingly nicknamed “Goo” (short for Mr. Magoo because of his squinty eyes and upturned button nose) to a strong, capable boy. So here’s my confession: I haven’t gotten rid of any of his newborn clothes yet. To be honest, I truly don’t have the heart to. Anything he has grown out of has sat in bins (and been ripped out of those bins by tiny hands and thrown over tiny shoulders) in his nursery up until today when I put my foot down and decided they needed to go. Well sort of. Since I’m not ready to donate the clothes or hand them down, I opted to put them away for a while as part of a New Year’s resolution to keep a neat home that’s always ready for company.
