Hello from Iceland! We made it here in one piece and so did our luggage. But I have to be frank with you, packing was not fun. I dare you to try walking into a Los Angeles mall in 100 degree heat and ask where the parkas are, you’ll get a snicker or two. Now let me clear something up: I’m usually the queen of packing. Seldom will I actually check a bag, even when flying internationally for 2-3 weeks with a toddler, but this time was different. Not only was I shopping out of season, but I was shopping for clothes that I won’t get a lot of use out of. In it’s coldest state, LA will never be cold enough to wear a parka down the street when taking a walk. And have you seen the prices of winter items these days? My solution? ThredUp! I found the most adorable red Zara jacket (reg. $150, purchased for $32.99) and matching Xhilaration scarf (reg. $16.99, purchased for $9.99) for me, and Fox kept warm in brand new Head mittens (reg. $21, purchased for $4.99) and a Baby Gap beanie (reg. $17, purchased for $5.99).
