What’s In My Bag: KAABOO Del Mar Edition

March 28, 2017

This post is sponsored by KAABOO Del Mar, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

My birthday weekend happens to coincide with KAABOO Del Mar this year and I could not be any more excited!

Although there is an incredible musical lineup this year with artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Muse, it’s the ’90s kid in me that yearns for Garbage, Toad and the Wet Sprocket, Live, and the Wallflowers! I’ll also be front and center for Pete Yorn who is one of my favorite artists of all time. (Check out his album Musicforthemorningafter. SO. GOOD.)

Here’s the entire lineup to give a gander:

In addition to these musical artists, there’s also a plethora of experiences to indulge in like food and craft libations, contemporary art, spa services on-site, and comedy over the course of 3 days in sunny San Diego. Keep your eyes open through August for new announcements of the additional experiences.

It’s so very important to be prepared when heading to a major event such as KAABOO, so I always jam my purse with as much as I can because I’m completely “The Mom” of the group.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Hair protection

Protecting your hair from UV protection, especially if it’s colored, is an absolute must — especially with the gorgeous weather you can expect in Del Mar. My favorite is Sachajuan’s Hair in the Sun which not only acts as a styling cream, but also protects your hair from the UV rays (even after a shower).

Hat

If you’re not into hair products, a cute hat will ensure your color stays bright and without sun damage. It also effortlessly elevates any cute end of summer outfit.

Sunglasses

Make sure you’re not squinting so hard you can’t see the bands on stage! I always bring a couple cheap pairs just in case they get lost or crunched in my bag by mistake.

Bandaids

It goes without saying to wear comfy shoes, but in the event that you wind up with a blister, a Bandaid can totally save the day.

Sunscreen

A lobster-style sunburn will not make for a good time. Protect your skin and smell yummy in the process! Sun Bum is my favorite and comes in lotions, sprays, sticks, and more.

Deodorant Wipes

Arguably my favorite item on this list, deodorant wipes are so necessary when in close proximity to concert goers having a massive dance party! Pacifica Natural Bodycare Undearm Deodorant Wipes are made with coconut milk and essential oils, so you’ll smell delicious without having to apply harsh chemicals.

Instax

You’ll want to remember the incredible time you had singing along to Alanis Morrissette or Milky Chance. Bring an Instax with extra film so you can snap two of each memorable scene — one for you and another for a friend.

Oh, and feel free to wear that cute romper you’ve been saving for the heat — there are real toilets at this event 😉
