4 Ways to Build a Mule Cocktail

February 22, 2017

There are few cocktails that I like more than a good old fashioned mule.

If you’re not familiar with this drink, let me introduce you to the most common version: the Moscow Mule.

Moscow Mule

  • 4 oz. Barritt’s ginger beer
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 2 oz. vodka

Serve in a copper mug with ice and garnish with a lime.

If you’re looking for a Taco Tuesday companion drink, mix up my favorite of the four mules: the Mexican Mule.

If you’re brainstorming fun drinks to serve at your St. Patrick’s Day get-together, look no further than the Irish Mule.

  • 2 oz. Irish whiskey

The last, but certainly not least, of the the four mules will put some hair on your chest. Try a Kentucky Mule on for size.

You may have noticed I suggested using Barritt’s ginger beer — this is the best tip I can give you! It comes in bottles and cans with both regular and diet options. It not only tastes delicious, but its hip look is a great addition to any party spread or bar cart.

If you’re looking for more recipe suggestions, both the Barritt’s website and Instagram have a load of innovative ideas.

Which will you try next?
