Tyler and I don’t get out enough for date nights. I think sometimes we are both so tired from the chaos of the kids, work, and general life responsibilities that we fall into staying at home. Lately we’ve expressed to each other that we were feeling a sense of burn out and we realized we needed a change of pace. We thought about heading to the movies but not being able to talk to each other seemed like a bummer. We could have went out to eat but sometimes that feels just as chaotic. In the end, we landed on heading out on the Upper Niagara River to revisit an activity that neither of us had taken up since 5th grade: fishing! Our friend Ryan over at Brookdog Fishing Company picked us up from the boat slip closest to our house and started to go through the fishing basics with us.
