Do Not Spoil What You Have…

December 2, 2015

Lots of deep thoughts and soul searching as of late around these parts. Trying to strip off the excess and head back towards simplicity is tougher than it seems.

For now I’m focusing on one of my favorite quotes by Epicurus, “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”

When you have a full plate and you stop enjoying major parts of your life, you realize that you need to break it down to the bones of what you love. And that’s what I plan on doing.

My husband is working hard towards helping us both achieve that as well. He has started his very own blog, Tynology. Give him a visit and let him know how great he is.

Over the course of December I will be giving myself my first ever set of New Year’s resolutions to adhere to. I’ve always been disciplined and never felt the need to set goals, but this year I feel like the growing pains of becoming a mama and transitioning out of my younger years has left some room for improvement.

Do you have any big plans for change in 2016?

Your blog taught me a lot, and I think you could have much more fun if you studied classic video games. I am excited to reminisce about our past games together.
