How Moving Across the Country Changed Me - The February Fox
You may not know that I’m originally an East Coast girl! I called Buffalo, NY my home for 22 years. When (San Diego-based) Tyler and I first started realizing we were potentially in a “more than friends” situation, I cringed at the idea of moving to California. In fact, it was almost a deal-breaker. Don’t get me wrong — it was in my 10-year plan to move to Los Angeles and establish myself in SoCal, but I didn’t think I’d be leaving that soon. Moving nearly 2,500+ miles across the country isn’t for the faint of heart, especially without a job or friends waiting for you on the other side. Once I took a leap of faith and moved to California, I quickly realized that I’m a lot stronger than I imagined. Here are a few of my favorite changes: Finding My Passion When I left Buffalo I was a waitress and I absolutely loved every minute of it.
