Some time ago I saw an article about a woman who counted the amount of time her son looked at her over a period of time — times that she usually would be scrolling through her phone aimlessly. This was a rude awakening for her as it opened her eyes to all the times she failed to connect with her son. To be honest, I didn’t even bother doing the experiment myself because I knew… I was guilty as charged. It’s hard not to be glued to a screen at most times during the day when your child is home all day and both parents work out of the house with various jobs. So I realized at that point that it was time to enroll him in school. And boy did I get things done!
