Today is the Super Bowl! Goooo SPORTS! Are you in it for the football or for the food and commercials? I’m in it to decorate. Because I like leaving my decorations up for an extended period of time, I usually opt for a more subdued look rather than the usual paper decorations. This time around I shopped my house, finding thrifted treasures in brown and tan colors to adorn the tables. I also added in pops of green to symbolize the football field. I meant to throw a yellow flag in the cloche but couldn’t find one! Next time I’ll make it myself. The final step was to add a table runner. I had a black linen one at home but it seemed too basic, so I got a roll of black craft paper and had my husband mark it up with football plays in chalk. I love that this feels like a game room or a library — it’s definitely a Super Bowl party design that works well for both my husband and me.
