School Shopping at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls

August 11, 2019

Confession time: I’ve had a habit of buying clothes for future children since I was 18 years old.

I specifically remember heading into the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls and being compelled to pick up a baby’s faux leather jacket for just 0.99 cents. I know this may be strange to you, but the bargain hunter in me knew the best deals come with time!

All the women in my family would take the short drive to the Outlets for everything from back-to-school shopping or clothes for a new jobs to Black Friday deals and seasonal closet refreshers.

When I was pregnant with my second child, Charlie, I went to the new H&M opening there and came home with several bags of clothes for baby, my husband, 4-year-old Fox, and me. Since then I’ve been heading back routinely to shop for the whole family.

This back to school season is no different!

After Fox’s swim class we headed to Niagara Falls and got to shopping.

Did you know that there are over 200 designer brands under one roof? You can get up to 75% savings at each store.

First stop was H&M, which is still one of my favorite places to shop for the entire family. If I’m ever in a time crunch, this is the only store I’ll head into. This particular location has a large room for clearance-style markdowns.

Fox got a handful of new outfits for school, Charlie got a Christmas sweater for $2 (love a good off-season deal!), and mom and dad got two outfits a piece.

A few doors down we went into the Disney Store. I had seen a promo going for varsity jackets costing only $30 and we also snagged a Spider-Man zip pouch filled with school supplies. After a quick boba tea break, we stumbled upon Build-a-Bear which is a free-standing store in the hall. Fox had never done a Build-A-Bear before, so this was a real treat for him. I had made one in high school, but a lot has changed — they now have scents, sounds, vibrations and more!

Fox got a bunny named Bunny. It was so neat watching him gravitate towards different accessories and he got lots of compliments from anyone who was nearby enough to hear the Super Mario theme song play every time he squeezed it.

Make sure to ask about deals while you’re there. We passed on the buy one get one for $10, but stocked up on gift cards that ran $5 for a $10 voucher. We also learned about their birthday club, where your child can pay their age for their very own bear on their special day!

Our last stop of the day was the conjoined Carter’s/OshKosh B’gosh shops.

They had amazing doorbusters!

Would you believe each of the outfits below were individually under $25 head to toe?

All the shirts were under $5 and the jeans were $10. My favorite buy were the cool white shoes which started at $38 but were discounted to $7.49!

We were sorry to miss the new Vans outlet which opened the day after we shopped on August 1st, so we’ll have to head back for more.
