Strawberry Honeydew Sorbet

July 10, 2017

I’ve never been a big store-bought sorbet fan, I always find it too sweet for my taste. But it’s been over 100 degrees here every day in Los Angeles and something had to give! Even the kiddie pool doesn’t offer enough cool-down factor. So I tried my hand at a homemade sorbet recipe and fell in love, hard and fast. This Strawberry Honeydew Sorbet recipe is the real deal!

Here’s what you do:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 honeydew melon
  • 1 lb. strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp. almond milk

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until the consistency of a smoothie.
  2. Pour mixture into pan. (I prefer to use a loaf pan lined with parchment.)
  3. Freeze until firm.

I got all of my ingredients from Milk & Eggs, which is basically an online farmer’s market that delivers right to your door! M&E is available is Southern California and carries a few of my favorite products like Forager Project Organic Vegetable Chips Greens, Brothers Products Feta Three Layered Dip, and Strawberry-Rhubarb Coldwater Canyon Jam. All locally made and healthy for me!

Milk & Eggs deserves props for helping me lose weight.

It makes it so easy to nourish my body with healthy, real foods.

They were also kind enough to throw in some Stonyfield Yobaby Organic Yogurt in Mango/Banana for free! Fox had woken up that morning asking for a “see-yize” (aka surprise) and lo-and-behold, that was at the door.

Also, if you read my previous post about the picnic I had at the Hollywood Bowl, all items I brought with the exception of the meat snacks were from Milk & Eggs, who totally saved me during a VERY busy week that made it impossible to run to the store.

I have a couple more batches of recipes coming up from my most recent Milk & Eggs run. Can you guess what they are?

Pin this recipe for later!
