I think it’s safe to speak for both Tyler and myself when saying that it’s more enjoyable to watch Fox do things he loves than actually do things we love. Not that we don’t love Disney (after all it’s the happiest place on earth), it’s just more about being able to see Fox experience everything we’ve been so fond of for all of these years.
So just as I had chosen for my birthday in September, Tyler opted to visit Disneyland for his as well.
First stop was California Adventure and we sat down to eat at Flo’s Diner.
And then we explored the rest of Cars Land.
After many rides and lots of food, we decided to take Fox to meet Santa Claus for the very first time! He flew in from the North Pole to meet kiddos at Elias & Co.
At first he was interested…
…and then he was done. Haha.
The funny part was that he loved Santa except for these couple snaps that lasted roughly 3 seconds.
Disneyland was even more fun than Fox’s first visit now that he interacts so much more. He laughs, claps, and even learned how to blow kisses at our hotel the second morning!
We also grabbed some amazing lobster rolls and lobster bisque at Harbor Galley. Highly recommend these!
*Also wanted to mention that we stayed at Hotel Indigo Anaheim (the nifty place below with the beautiful yellow facade) and it we will definitely be back. We’ve tried our hand at several hotels in the area since we don’t like making the drive after a full day. Some are too far, most are not great quality, and we’ve had to get a little bit more firm in choosing a good hotel with a crawling baby on our hands who refuses to sleep at any hotel we bring him to. This hotel was affordable and offered suites where Fox got his own room so we could flip on the TV and do our own thing while he had a crib next door – even if he fought to use it. No extra charge for parking which is HUGE since most hotels make you do that. They even let us stay next day too. It may be worth mentioning that this post is in no way, shape, or form sponsored by Hotel Indigo or Disney
I’ll be adding a day two post shortly with more from our trip!
Have you ever been to Disneyland? What’s your favorite part?

We went just last year, also for Christmas. It was so fun watching the kids enjoy themselves. I definitely enjoy it more with my kids than just adults. Car’s Land was our favorite.
