I had a long 8 years without fall in California.
We tried to go apple picking there twice and it was hilariously bad — think dust devils and wearing flannel out of sheer disregard of the 100 degree weather.
This year, we’re going all out.
I’ve had autumn running through my veins since the day I came into this world many Septembers ago. My entire attitude shifts with the cool temps and deepened color palette.
We decided to drive north to Becker Farms in Gasport, NY, a place I’ve went apple picking since I was a kid. It’s grown so much since then, now incorporating a winery, restaurant, live music, plenty of play areas for the kids, and they even had grape stomping the day we went!

At Becker Farms, every apple picked by the tress is a story of nature’s bounty and family fun.
