Today we picked up Fox from school and headed to his first appointment with the dentist.
Honestly, I was white knuckling it.
Fox has always been a wild one, but take him out of the house and don’t expect him to stay still. It’s been eye-opening to say the least, and I definitely feel like karma has bitten me for rolling my eyes in my teenage years at screaming babies.
Today was different.
He sat in the dentist chair playing with the tools and following exact instructions. He even seemed eager to have his teeth cleaned. I was completely shocked.
The next stop was the hair salon to get his hair cut for school pictures next week.
Again, he sat and allowed the stylist to do her job.
We obviously had to stop by Salt and Straw on the way back for some ice cream because this was an out of this world experience! I was (and still am) so proud of Fox.
I really feel like school has already changed him so much.
It’s bizarre to walk into the classroom to pick him up for the day and see him quietly seated at the desk like an angel. He’s also been singing his ABCs in perfect tune and my heart explodes every time I hear it.
Just a little Thursday night gushing — I don’t do it enough.
