2020 has been quite a year!
How are you doing?
With the chaos of a home renovation and virtual schooling, it was completely necessary for me to come up with a cozy nighttime wind-down routine to keep myself grounded.
The first thing I did was come up with a list of some pain points that I wanted to improve upon. Here are some of the major ones:
- Stressing over a messy house while trying to relax
- Feeling like I don’t have enough time
- Drinking coffee too late and not being able to fall asleep
Some of these are easier to fix than others, but I had to start somewhere!
Each night I set aside about 1.5 hours that I split between picking up the house, planning for the next day, and doing something for myself — usually reading.
I first start by making a list of things that need to be accomplished the next day. Knowing exactly what to expect certainly helps to alleviate stress.
Doing a little bit of cleaning might not seem relaxing to you, but even taking a moment to tidy up a space helps me sleep better at night. It’s a peace of mind thing.
While I’m doing my reading, I’m sipping tea instead of cold coffee that’s been kicking around waiting to be consumed.
Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime is usually my tea of choice.
It’s been the original bedtime tea for 40 years, helping people wind down their days. The Sleepytime brand has expanded into varieties like herbal, decaf green, and wellness teas to fit your lifestyle.
Have you ever wondered what the blend of soothing herbs are that go into Sleepytime? Wonder no more because I’m here to tell you that it’s chamomile, spearmint, and lemongrass!
When I’m feeling like switching up my tea game, I sometimes reach for Tension Tamer (caffeine free and a fantastic source of B vitamins) or Vitamin C Shine (formerly Citrus Sunrise, which provides 130% Daily Value of Vitamin C).
All of these high quality teas can be found at Walmart and offer immune support, sleep help, and affordable pricing.
Celestial Seasonings is also dedicated to sustainability — have you noticed their stringless tea bags that come packaged in recycled boxes?
