Spoiling the Kitties!

January 23, 2018

This post is sponsored by Grocery Outlet but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ever since my husband and I put Fox in school, we’ve found ourselves with a bit more time on our hands to go on dates. Last month we went ice skating, explored a really neat book store, took in some incredible Los Angeles architecture, and ate lunch at a famous cafeteria-style restaurant.

Even though excursions like that are so much fun, we still have to work and maintain our responsibilities so oftentimes our “dates” are more routine trips like grocery shopping.

We try as hard as we can to do all of our shopping in one trip to avoid having to drive all over the city. Grocery Outlet is one of our favorite local spots to peruse and find great deals at!

You may remember me sharing news of Grocery Outlet’s crazy wine sale back in November. This time we were looking for more general healthy food products to fill our fridge and pantry as well as new “luxuries” for our two cats, Peter and Sweet Dee.

Tyler spilled about all of the yummy healthy foods we found, but I’m just here to bring you cute pictures of cats and their new fuzzy toys!

First, a note about our cats: if Sweet Dee were a real person, I imagine her being a mixture of a female truck driver and Sammi Sweetheart from Jersey Shore in addition, of course, to her namesake from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. She definitely holds her own. Peter, on the other hand, is needy.

Ever since I got pregnant with Fox, he’s been insatiable — waking me up in the middle of the night to sleep on my face, tripping me on my way to the bathroom, meow-yelling at the top of his little lungs for no reason. He’s definitely been upset that the attention isn’t 100% on him anymore, no matter how much he’s pet or fawned over.

I decided it was time to buy him his own bed to give him a place to retreat to that he feels comfortable in, secretly hoping to curb the late night wakeup calls and bruising from crashing into door frames and furniture to avoid stepping on him.

Good news: it’s working!

He loves his new bed that he shares with Dee and it’s helping to solve our problem. The bed itself is awesome quality and could easily fit 3 cats. It’s super cute too and fit right in with our decor!

I also picked up the cutest toy for them to bat around the house and they definitely get a kick out of it.

Heading into Grocery Outlet is like participating in a treasure hunt — products are 40-70% off traditional store pricing and you never know what’s going to be in stock so you’ll find something new every time. They are able to offer these deals to the public on account of closeouts, packaging changes, and order cancellations.
