Tomorrow is my birthday, which means I’ll be taking two days to explore Los Angeles and celebrate turning dirty thirty!
The celebrations started today when I headed to the Dry Bar in Burbank to get a blowout courtesy of FX’s Better Things!
Remember that time I met the show’s star, Pamela Adlon? Yeah, I barely do too since I was completely awestruck by how incredible she is in person as well as on screen.
My big 3-0 isn’t the only fabulous thing arriving tomorrow.
Better Things season two will air on FX tomorrow night (9/14/17) and Sam Fox is sure to bring the laughs and insane reality that goes behind the drama of being a parent. Sam is a single mom living and working in Hollywood with three very different girls going through changes.
Now about the hair.
My stylist, Paul, sat me down with a Mimosa and helped me navigate the menu. If you’re not familiar with Dry Bar, then you must know that the entire menu is named for cocktails.
Dry Bar. Get it?
I chose a Mai Tai — beachy, messy waves — and Paul worked his magic. On my way out a woman stopped me and asked what I chose off the hair menu because she wanted to get the same thing. Mission accomplished.
Then I took my blowout to Ikea, because even though I was lucky enough to have a mimosa at noon on a Wednesday while getting a fabulous blowout, I’m a mom and I still need to get sh*t done.
