Kid’s DIY Fruit Pizza

November 17, 2017

This post is sponsored by Cuties, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

These days, Fox is overwhelmingly independent. He wants to prove himself more and more, opting to do anything he can by himself. He’s putting his own shoes on, picking out what he’ll wear to school, and telling us what he wants for meals, amongst many other things.

I’ve been doing my best to encourage his creativity and let his personality really shine through, whether it’s in craft projects or even doing a little cooking in the kitchen.

He’s really into Cuties right now since he can peel them himself!

We’ve done the regular build-your-own pizzas in our house and they were a hit, so I decided to try out a sweet version for him to give a spin. Thus, the Kid’s DIY Fruit Pizza was born!

I purchased a roll of sugar cookie dough, divided in thirds and then baked 3 mini-pizza shaped cookies.

To make the “sauce” mix 16 oz. cream cheese with 1 Tbsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 Tbsp milk, and 1/4 cup sugar with hand mixer. Add more milk if you feel the consistency is too thick to spread.

I had Fox peel the Cuties while I sliced other fruit options. We love putting these on the fruit pizza because they’re seedless and bite-sized. No cutting required!

Then he got to decorating!

We’re currently in Buffalo, and the whole family is getting together tonight for dinner. Fox cannot wait to debut the dessert he made! I think it will be a big hit.

Speaking of family, it’s Cuties season, marking 100 Days of Sunshine! Next time we make this fun dessert, we plan on making dough for everyone so they can personalize their very own pie.
