In case you haven’t heard, we’re firming up the remainder of our plans to visit England, Scotland, and Wales next month. We are renting a car and driving around as a family, stopping at the most incredible sights along the way. Seriously, just wait to see what we have in store!
Call me crazy but I find the time leading up to vacation almost as enjoyable as the trip itself.
Before I head out of the country, I always buy myself a mini-capsule wardrobe to avoid packing everything but the kitchen sink. I choose items that are interchangeable, can be layered, and are comfy yet still look nice enough to be dressed up.
There have been times where Tyler and I are petting farm animals in a muddy field somewhere and two hours later we are at a fancy dinner. Stopping by the hotel is such a waste of travel time, so we make it work with what we have on! Just bring a long warm coat that’s on the dressier end and flat over-the-knee boots. These will bring you through any situation! I also find that the mix of the long coat with tall boots helps keep me dry from the rain that will inevitably happen in the UK.
I also make sure to wear a makeup primer throughout the day to avoid makeup slipping off in the elements and pack my portable USB charger (I actually bought it for Tyler but I steal it sometimes, haha) because it holds a ton of extra battery that can be used for my phone, camera, or laptop.
I’m one of those people that take ages to get dressed and leave the pile of clothes at my feet with fist in the air saying, “I have nothing to wear!” Having a brand spanking wardrobe makes getting ready so easy and I focus on sightseeing and really getting immersed in the culture of the area.
That Vince Camuto bag is ideal for traveling since you can wear it crossbody and zip your passport and important documents into the pocket, keeping everything super safe.
I haven’t selected the pieces for my packing list quite yet, but I’m definitely thinking of snagging the Glamorous sweater, green Hunters, and Sole Society weekender.
Do you like to pack light or bring everything in sight?

When packing for a trip to the UK, there are a few essential items to bring along. Start with comfortable and versatile clothing – think layers as the weather can be unpredictable.
