If you don’t already follow me on Instagram you may not have seen that I was invited to take part in #TopKnotTalk.
My favorite thing about Instagram is the friendships that I have made by connecting with others. I love that I can be myself – be truly real – and know that there’s other people out there who completely understand. A couple GFs of mine (that I met via this amazing community) created the original #TopKnotTalk, a weekly chat circle (and growing community via our hashtag), to help other women connect, support each other, and create friendships like ours.
Ladies, you know what the top knot signifies – “it’s been a heck of a day, but I’m hangin’ in there”, right!? Well each week we will share a struggle or challenge we experienced paired with a photo of our own top knots!
This was my confession this week: I’m on house arrest. Well sort of. Before you think I’m a criminal let me clarify that it’s self-appointed. You see, it seems that everytime I get two steps out the door my son takes it as a cue to crank the terror up a notch. (I see this as some major karma, as I didn’t earn the “cute” little moniker Terrorbeth from my husband for nothing.) After 9 months of parenting, I still don’t feel very confident on the going out in public front.
Do you have a stress-free zone outside of your home for you and your family?
*Bonus points if you teach me how to make my baby like his stroller!

A lovely reflection that captures the flow of thoughts and everyday emotions in a very relatable way. The conversational tone makes it engaging while still offering something meaningful to pause and think about. A simple yet heartfelt read.
