And They Lived Happily Ever After… at Disneyland

Disneyland has become like a second home for our family. Even though we live just over an hour away, we find that staying overnight has become part of our routine. The hotels are inexpensive, we don’t have to rush out of the house or try and squeeze everything into one day, we can have a couple cocktails at California Adventure if we’d like since we won’t be driving, and the money we’d spend on parking will go towards a comfy hotel bed that we wouldn’t have otherwise.

Since we have annual passes, we are doing our best to use them as much as possible before they’re up in September.

There are a couple areas of the park that have become lifesavers. My current favorite is Pluto’s Dog House in Toontown because of their awesome toddler-sized meals (small mac and cheese, juice/milk, applesauce). Although there are many places throughout the parks that offer toddler meals, Fox is keen on this one because of all the bright colors and frequent character sightings.

We’ve also gotten way too good at the Midway games on the boardwalk and Fox was covered in stuffed animals by the end of the trip – a starfish, Woody, Bullseye, and Timothy Q. Mouse. 

It’s so nice to be able to check out for a couple days with my family and recharge our batteries at Disneyland.
