It’s technically Teacher Appreciation Day today, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: it’s actually Teacher Appreciation WEEK too!
Teachers spend so much time with our kids — we owe them a great deal of thanks.
One major one for us?
Although I’d like to think my husband and I are polite people, it wasn’t until he got in the classroom that he turned into a well-mannered child.
It honestly still blows my mind!
Teacher gifts don’t have to be over the top to be special. Gift cards will do the trick just fine, but if you’re hoping to choose the present on your own then I have an idea for you!
This adorable Grow Your Own Pizza Kit (I got mine from Amazon, but it’s also available at Target and several other places) is perfect for letting your child’s teacher know how grateful you are for helping your child “grow”! The kit contains sweet basil, heirloom Rutgers tomatoes, green bell peppers, Greek oregano, Italian parsley, scallions, plant markers, and pizza recipes.
So cute!
I bought one for each and made a handmade card with items I found from Joann’s, letting Fox sign the bottom of each card.

Such a thoughtful gift—love how the pizza kit ties in the “thanks for helping us grow” sentiment, and Fox’s handmade card makes it extra special! This Nano Banana Pro is so helpful.
It’s clear how much effort and expertise went into this work. snow rider 3d serves as a valuable resource on the subject.
The free-form style of a galette is such a game changer for ‘lazy’ baking. I love that there’s no pressure for perfection since that rustic look is exactly what you want when it comes out of the oven. Plus, being able to swap in whatever fruit is in season—from peaches to saskatoons—makes this a perfect go-to recipe for a quick snack or even breakfast.
That “Grow Your Own Pizza Kit” is such a clever idea! It’s a nice break from the usual mugs or candles, and using the “helping them grow” pun makes it feel a lot more personal. It’s also hilarious how a classroom setting can suddenly turn a kid into a perfectly mannered student—there really is some kind of teacher magic involved in that! I bet those handmade cards from Fox are going to be the part they keep forever, too. This video compressor is such a nice tool.
It’s so relatable that parents always notice that “school version” of their kids—it’s like they save all their best behavior for the teacher! That pizza kit is actually a genius move because it’s an activity they can do to decompress, and the “helping them grow” theme is just cheesy enough to be perfect for a teacher gift. Definitely beats getting a 15th “World’s Best Teacher” mug. This video to subtitles is great.
