As much as we try to eat dinner together, we’re not always on the same schedule.
When Fox comes home from school he’s usually ready to eat immediately, but Tyler and I tend to eat lunch late throughout the workday and don’t always have food ready and on the table.
I don’t love for him to fill up on snacks prior to dinner, so we’ve been getting creative with mealtime options that are easier to make on the fly — especially if we’re trying to soak up some sunshine now that it’s getting darker later.
Tonight we went out to the bike path and let Fox scoot around for a bit.
This is (by far!) one of my favorite places in Buffalo — a spot I lived so close to when I was younger that I could bike over and keep on going. In one straight line, you exit the suburbs, head into farmland, forest, and more.
I have to admit, the last time I was here I was on a date in high school learning how to rollerblade backwards, which is too funny not to share!
The log I used to stop at for a water break has since been swapped for a bench, so we set up a mini-picnic for Fox.
We brought along his water bottle and a Happy Tot Love My Veggies Bowl.
You already know we love the Happy Tot brand, so I was really happy to see a new product from them on the shelf at Target.
This fun item comes in a ready-to-eat bowl that can be enjoyed at room temperature or gently warmed. There are no artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors, and the packing is BPA-free.
A huge draw to me is that each sauce is sweetened only with organic fruits and a full serving of veggies, meaning 0g added sugar!
We’re just about ready to spring for a bike for our guy now that he’s comfy on both scooters and trikes, so there will be plenty more visits to the bike path in the future.
