I Got Contact Lenses!

October 8, 2018

This post is sponsored by 1-800 Contacts but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Something that you may not know about me is that I just got fitted for contacts for the first time this past spring.

I’ve always had 20/20 vision, but I noticed a change shortly after giving birth to my first child. I honestly didn’t really put a lot of thought into it at that point. I spend so much of my day in front of a phone or computer screen that I guess I didn’t realize how little I could see in the distance!

It wasn’t until we began our trek from our previous home in Los Angeles to our current in Buffalo that I realized the road in front of me was not as clear as it should be. I couldn’t read street signs until I was right up on them, I was getting headaches around the same time each day from squinting so hard throughout the day, and I couldn’t read the channel guide on the hotel TV screens.

Within a week of getting settled in our new home, I got my eyes checked.

My experience getting an eye exam and getting fit for contacts was a positive one, but it required multiple trips to the optometrist, a lot of time in the waiting room, and then I had to pick up my contacts when I was done. I actually canceled a few appointments I had those weeks to accommodate all the trips back and forth without overlap.

So, great service and nice people but an overall pain in the butt.

I’ve since switched to 1-800 Contacts which allows me to do an updated vision test and get my prescription filled all through their app on my own time. I absolutely love that I can do this at night while the kiddo is asleep or on a whim when I realize I forgot to order last minute.

This last batch I received in 1 business day!

Once your exam is complete and the doctor has renewed your prescription, you can reorder contacts with only a few taps of the 1-800 Contacts app. They also have a 24/7 live chat if you ever need any support.

Do you wear contact lenses?

    Hello there!

This is Meleane and I am a professional photographer.

I was discouraged, frankly speaking, when I recognised my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner’s approval, you should know that you could be sued by the copyright owner.

It’s illegal to use stolen images and it’s so mean!

Take a look at this document with the links to my images you used at thefebruaryfox.com and my earlier publications to get the evidence of my legal copyrights.

Download it right now and check this out for yourself:

    https://sites.google.com/view/774008843000349873/file/drive/storage/share/download?d=346892498994740952

If you don’t delete the images mentioned in the file above during the next several days, I’ll file a complaint against you to your hosting provider letting them know that my copyrights have been severely infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.

And if it doesn’t help, for damn sure I am going to take legal action against you! And I won’t give you a prior notice again.

I was discouraged, to put it nicely, when I saw my images at your web-site. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner’s permission, you need to be aware that you could be sued by the copyright owner.

    Greetings,

I’m not the best speller but I see the word “everytime” is spelled incorrectly on your website. In the past I’ve used a service like SpellAlerts.com or SiteChecker.com to help keep mistakes off of my websites.

    Hi There,

Just a heads-up that I believe the word “everytime” is spelled wrong on your website. I had a couple of errors on my site before I started using a service to monitor for them. There are a few sites that do this but we like SpellingReport.com and ErrorSearch.com.
